FIAT DUCATO FAULTY SRS ECU. ERROR B1001.

Yet another TRW corrupt EEPROM!

This problem occurs when there has been a low voltage event on the vehicle.

Customer was advised that the ecu was scrap and impossible to repair.

We carried out a full ECU bench test to rule out any component damage to the module.

Next step was to remove the EEPROM form the PCB, then we set about reconstructing the corrupted software.

That done, the EEPROM was placed back onto the PCB.

Next step was to rig up the modules can lines on the bench so we could carry out further OBD testing and also to verify the original internal fault was remedied.

All checked out ok. The module was reassembled and ready to be given back to the customer.
