1995 VW PASSAT IMMO REMOVAL.

This job came to us after our customer lost all the keys to the vehicle. A locksmith was used to cut a new key, but told our customer the immobiliser module was an aftermarket model?!?!

Even after not seeing one for nearly 15 years, it looks pretty standard to us!

We have no idea why the locksmith simply did not just obtain the login code and add another transponder to the immobiliser module.

Anyway, our customer asked for the immobiliser to be completely removed.

MPC is an HC05S. These need security bypass to read data.

We desoldered the MPC and read it in a programmer. 

Using a simple hex editor (no need for complicated hex programs with these old chips), we removed the immobiliser component and re-flashed the MPC.

The MPC was then soldered back on to the PCB and the unit reassembled.
